Database Wipe and Updates!

Good morning!

The first update of 2025 has just been released, the server is online, and the database has been wiped (all players have been set back to level 1). Here are the changes:

Game Mechanics:
  • The skill rate for players before and after promotion is scaled better

  • Wearing a melee weapon automatically gives the player +5% resistance to all magic damage (fire, poison, energy, etc). Additionally, all players, regardless of equipment, automatically gain 1% resistance to magic every 5 levels. For example: A level 10 player (orc or human) who is using a mace will have 7% (5% for the weapon + 2% since he's level 10) protection against magic damage. The purpose of this is two-fold: not only does it help players survive better in a world with limited healing, but it is also a unique way to encourage players to use melee weapons instead of distance.

The following quests have been modified to give better rewards in the form of money or experience:
  • Suntower (elven legs) quest
  • Nomad cave access/haunted ship quest
  • Scimitar/fire devil quest
  • Magic rope spell scroll quest
  • Alwar's Vault (lightning boots) quest
  • Exura spell scroll quest
  • Challenge spell scroll quest
  • Levitate spell scroll quest
  • Banana quest
  • Illusion spell scroll quest
  • Spike sword quest
  • Food spell scroll quest
  • Desert dungeon (10k) quest
  • Rose shield quest
  • Obsidian Knife Quest
  • Crimson sword, barbarian axe, and clerical mace quests
  • Fire bug quest
  • Pirate ship quest

The following changes have been made to "big" quests:
  • Exp reward added to each mission of the Postman quest
  • Exp reward added to each mission of Rashid quest
  • Correct errors with Hairycles' dialogue, and the quest can now be completed (the final mission missing). Each mission give an exp reward.

The following new quests have been added:
  • A shortcut to easily get from one side of the barbarian island to the other without passing over the top of the mountain with the ice golem.
  • Orcish axe quest
  • Steel axe quest
  • Crocodile boots quest
  • Wolf trophy quest
  • Dragon lord trophy quest
  • Crown quest (the deco item, not crown armor)
  • Soft boots quest

Additional changes made:
  • The strong quara spawns have been changed. Instead of regular spawns, they are now irregular raid spawns that will happen 2-3 times per day. This is to prevent players from simply farming them for endgame items.
  • The slot machine cooldown has been reduced to 3 seconds
  • Level requirement for the crimson sword/barbarian axe/clerical mace quests reduced from 30 -> 20
  • Level requirement for Alwars Vault quest reduced from 15 -> 10
  • Level requirement for lighthouse quest reduced from 15 -> 10
  • The tombs under Summerhaven have been expanded significantly, a new high level hunting area has been added.
